ÜBER DEN VEREIN
Die Deutsch-Brasilianische Kulturelle Vereinigung e.V. wurde 1989 in Berlin ins Leben gerufen, initiiert von Maria do Carmo Vogt, einer leidenschaftlichen Kunstförderin mit Wurzeln in Brasilien. Ihr Ehemann Jürgen Vogt unterstützte sie tatkräftig bei der Verwirklichung ihrer Vision. Ziel des Vereins ist es, den kulturellen Austausch zwischen Brasilien und Deutschland zu fördern und die vielfältigen Facetten der brasilianischen Kultur einem deutschen Publikum näherzubringen – jenseits von Klischees wie Karneval und Fußball.
Nach einer längeren Pause wird der Verein im Jahr 2025 reaktiviert, um seine wichtigen kulturellen Aufgaben fortzuführen und neue Impulse für den deutsch-brasilianischen Dialog zu setzen.

GRÜNDUNG UND GESCHICHTE
Die Deutsch-Brasilianische Kulturelle Vereinigung begann ihre Arbeit mit großem Engagement und konnte schon bald Unterstützung durch bedeutende Institutionen gewinnen. Eine Schlüsselfigur in der Weiterentwicklung des Vereins war der inzwischen verstorbene Dr. Hinrich Bischoff, Gründer der Germania Fluggesellschaft, der als Vorsitzender und Förderer wichtige Beiträge leistete.
Dank der Zusammenarbeit mit Institutionen wie dem Goethe-Institut, dem Auswärtigen Amt, der Deutschen Bank, der Stiftung Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin, der Varig Fluggesellschaft, der Stiftung Starke Berlin und weiteren Partnern konnte der Verein seine ehrgeizigen Projekte realisieren.
